Select Collects Award from Westminster!
Monday saw East Devon MP Hugo Swire present Select Statistics with the Business Invest Award 2012 at the Palace of Westminster.
Select Statistics was awarded the South West prize, selected from a large number of outstanding south west businesses, by impressing the judging panel with their potential for future growth along with their unique combination of technical expertise and professional, accessible service. Select’s Chief Executive, Steve Brooks said “Data surrounds us in this digital age in which transactions are increasingly conducted electronically and where storage is virtually limitless and cost-free. Select puts that data to work.”
He added “Winning the prize is such great news because it gives us exactly the support we need to grow our business at this very exciting point in our journey”. The £10,000-worth of prizes donated by top local companies include Evado Media, Francis Clark, Cobalt Communications,Optix Solutions, Business Network (SW), Cloud Nine PR, Everys Solicitors and Just90 TV.
Angela Wright, MBE, one of the Judging Panel for the campaign commented “Select Statistics is a company investing in growth and striving to build sales and brand. They clearly have access to the highest quality statisticians and benefit from the fact that whilst organisations are often data rich they rarely make good use of the data they possess.
After collecting the award the team were invited to watch the House of Commons in session. Operations Manager, Annette Ladbrook said “Receiving the award at Westminster was added recognition for all the team’s efforts in winning the campaign. It was an exciting occasion and a day to remember!”
