Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to help you achieve a greater level of understanding from your data. These help you make better decisions and more reliable plans. You can see summaries of our main services below.

Testing

Organisations plan, invest and develop on the basis of hypotheses. Statistical testing provides a framework to determine whether different hypotheses are supported by the available data. By using your data to formally test your ideas, you can have confidence in the information gained and ensure that any subsequent decisions you make are data-driven.

Data Collection

Ideally, your data will be collected specifically with the aim of answering your question of interest. You can then ensure that the collection process is designed to maximise the potential of the statistical test. You can find more information about this in our Design service.

Often, however, data are observational, perhaps part of the inevitable digital exhaust that businesses routinely generate, and not collected with a specific goal in mind. In these instances, we will advise you on what hypotheses you can test and check that all the underlying assumptions about the data are valid.

Statistical Tests

Basic statistical tests are often used by individuals and organisations to identify whether a new product, treatment or website provides improved results. Our analysts can help you extend these simple analyses to gain more information from the data.

For example AB testing can be used to determine whether your new website drives more conversions.  It’s easy to make mistakes if you want to drill down to see how different groups of customers are influenced by the new site. We can advise you on how to conduct the right test and avoid producing biased, misleading or simply invalid results.

Statistical Models

For more in-depth studies, simple tests are usually insufficient. In these cases a modelling approach is more robust. By building a statistical model, you can better understand what the key drivers are and understand what impact these drivers have. Testing plays an important role in identifying the most important factors, to make sure that they are included in the model while eliminating irrelevant data from the analysis entirely.

Statistical testing gives you a much clearer understanding of what really works and what doesn’t. You can then be much more secure in appreciating and predicting the factors that drive and influence your organisation. The most useful intelligence is often obtained when testing is combined with statistical modelling and prediction.
