The Numbers Are Growing!
Lynsey McColl joins the team this month as Statistical Consultant at Select. Since graduating with a PhD in Statistics from the University of Sheffield, Lynsey worked as a Climate Change Consultant at the Met Office providing statistical expertise to their Climate Impacts team. “This is a really exciting appointment for the long-term future of Select and we are delighted to welcome Lynsey to the team” says Chief Executive, Steve Brooks.
Lynsey brings a wealth of experience in statistical computing, training, data mining, time series and experimental design. She will also continue with her STEM Ambassador activities aimed at inspiring young people to study Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics subjects at school. Lynsey will be judging at the Big Bang South West 2012 event this week where schools and students showcase their best STEM projects through the National Science and Engineering Competition (NSEC).
