Vasilis  holds a B.Sc. in mathematics and a M.Sc. in statistics from the University of Glasgow. Vasilis spent several years as a medical statistician working for the department of Biostatistics & Computing of the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London where he was actively involved in a follow-up study concerned with the health of the Gulf War British veterans.

Vasilis also has considerable expertise in the field of official statistics from working as a contractor for Eurostat. He provided statistical advice and assistance for a number of projects among which were the dissemination of Research & Development statistics, Foreign Trade, passenger mobility in Europe and the Adult Education Survey statistics. His interests cover a broad area of statistics from official to medical, Bayesian and sport statistics.
