Nicky is an independent statistical consultant with more than 15 years’ experience of providing statistical advice, statistical analyses and interpretation of statistical results to clients. She has worked with biosciences companies and in the field of military medicine and psychology, with clients including government departments, universities and the pharmaceutical industry. Her analysis projects have included studies of the effect of high G and G-protection, thermal modelling and musculoskeletal problems during military training.

In the pharmaceutical industry she has focussed on pre-clinical and Phase I studies in the CNS area, as well as exploratory data analysis related to sleep and hypnotic drugs. Nicky has also conducted scientific research in the field of sleep and wakefulness, including fatigue and alertness in civil airline pilots and more fundamental studies of the relationships between brain activity (EEG), sleepiness and cognitive performance.
